Terex To Showcase Products At The Big 5 PMV Show, Dubai

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (November, 2008) – Terex Corporation  (NYSE:TEX) will showcase a broad range of its popular Terex® and Genie® branded products at The Big 5 PMV show. Genie® aerial work platforms and telehandlers, along with a Terex® power buggy, will be on display 23 - 27 November (Stand J30). These products can be used for a wide variety of applications, including construction, outdoor maintenance, bridge work, and plumbing, among others.

The cost-effective, low-maintenance Terex® PB 21 hydraulic power buggy which is used for transporting, dumping and spreading bulk materials in tight spaces. Designed for a wide variety of applications and jobsites, from concrete work to construction and landscaping, this unit has an impressive capacity of 595l and a maximum load of 1,455 kg. 

The Genie® GS™-1932 self-propelled scissor lift will also be on. Designed for applications such as maintenance and construction projects, electric scissor lifts are exceptionally manoeuvrable in tight worksites. The GS™-1932 has a maximum working height of 7.79 m and a lifting capacity of up to 227 kg.

The Terex stand will also showcase the Genie® Z™-45/25J DC articulating boom. Genie® articulating booms provide versatility with up-out-and-over positioning capabilities for hard to access work areas. With a clearance of 7.16 m, the up-and–over reach capabilities of the Z™-45/25J DC boom makes this machine ideal for manufacturing, airports, warehousing, mechanical/electrical, outdoor maintenance, and construction applications.

Representing the vertical mast products will be the GR™-20. This Genie® Runabout™ is lightweight and compact, with a working height of 8.07 m and a lifting capacity of 159 kg. This machine is easy to set up and manoeuvre, making it ideal for warehousing, stock picking, transporting, inventory management, general maintenance and indoor construction.

The latest addition to the Genie® telehandler range, the GTH™-4017 SX rough terrain telehandler, will also be on view. With a maximum height of 17.19 m and a maximum lift capacity of 4,000 kg, this new Genie® telehandler delivers an impressive 700 kg lift capacity at a maximum forward reach of 13.3 m. It is easy to service and maintain, making it ideal for rental. And with a wide variety of attachments available, this telehandler acts as a multi-purpose tool that can be utilised for many jobsite needs.

Genie® equipment is designed and engineered with serviceability and operator comfort in mind. Common parts and components are used across the entire Genie® range. This enables technicians to be familiar with service procedures when moving between different models and product owners also benefit from stocking the same commonly used maintenance parts to use when needed, no matter what model requires servicing. This is yet another way Genie® products add value to any fleet.
